SUMMARY
Support Strategic Purchasing processes for managing new parts procurement, on-boarding new suppliers and transitioning parts between suppliers. Core processes supported include qualification of new suppliers, first article approvals, transitions of supplied parts as well as new product development procurement processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with first article inspection processes whenever possible for all first time orders by new suppliers or first time deliveries of new part numbers by existing suppliers.
Assist Strategic Purchasing Agents in obtaining First Article verification reports and associated quality documents
Coordinate quality issues on new supplied parts with production, supply chain and engineering
Communicate data needs and quality issues with suppliers
Act as the liaison in-house to get information, engineering changes or deviation requests when necessary for suppliers
Assist transition of tooling between JLG and suppliers
Drive implementation of fixture calibration plans for JLG provided tooling.
Travel as required and maintain a file for each assigned supplier
Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain appropriate relationships with all functional areas of the Company.
Maintain appropriate relationship with suppliers.

Ability to read blueprints and/or shop drawings and to manage from data.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in engineering discipline.
Minimum of four (4) years in an appropriate working environment.
Minimum of two years in a quality control work experience.
Knowledge of ISO 9000, TS16949 practices and policies.
Six Sigma certification preferred.
