| DIVISION: Road Construction Equipment DEPARTMENT: Purchasing REPORT TO: SQA Manager POSITION TITLE: SQA Engineer
Mission Work with strategic purchaser to improve current supplier base and also by strict screening new supplier entry, build up a solid supplier base in China to insure deliver from suppliers is at good quality.
The role includes but is not limited to the following duties: 1. Current production parts quality control and management. • 1). Resolve quality issue and DR. • 2). Design change and related quality activity management, control, verification and rePPAP. • 3). Supplier request change control and management and rePPAP. • 4). Supplier deviation process management. • 5). Reduce scrap rate of top 10 parts. • 6). Reduce scrap rate of top 5 supplier • 7). Continuous improvement of top 5 critical parts • . Irregular process audit to monitor the supplier process and push supplier process stable. • 9). Regular special process audit to monitor the supplier process and push supplier process stable. • 10). Regular and irregular audit for critical processes to monitor the supplier process and push supplier process stable. • 11). Support purchaser to reduce cost by reduction of part scrap rate • 12). Lead to improve the V***, MCT and Lean of supplier to reduce cost from part level. • 13). Supplier AE management • 14). Supplier capacity study to support purchasing team
2. New developing parts quality planning, APQP tracking and PPAP approval. • 1). Part quality risk level evaluation • 2). Support buyers to select suitable supplier. • 2). Design, process, and assembly review per part quality risk level prior to formal kickoff. • 3). APQP tracking and management per part quality risk level to ensure supplier to deliver conformance part on time after kickoff • 4). Lead PPAP approval process. • 5). Resolve supplier quality issue of samples.
3. Supplier quality system audit/ assessment and management, • 1). Potential suppliers quality system audit/ assessment to screen qualified supplier, • 2). Incumbent suppliers quality system management and improvement. • 3). Incumbent supplier regular audit and corrective actions follow up. • 4). Incumbent suppliers extra audit if systemic quality problem occur.
Experience requirements 3 or more year’s experiences in quality, mechanical engineering field, welding experience is preferred.
Knowledge Quality management system and audit Quality tools Mechanic, machining and welding Etc. English communication skills in both written and oral Familiar computer-using skill
Educational requirements Mechanical engineering education back ground is necessary
